Senior Pet Health & Wellbeing Clinics For Dogs & Cats Aged 8 and Over
As our pets age, their bodies go through changes that aren’t always visible on the outside.
That’s why we’ve launched our Senior Pet Health & Wellbeing Clinic; a comprehensive health check to detect early signs of illness and keep your older pets feeling their best for years to come.
Why Is This Important?
Pets over 8 years old are more prone to age-related diseases, but many of these can be managed effectively if caught early.
This clinic is a proactive step to help your pet live a longer, healthier life.
Benefits
- Our clinics are designed to grow with your pet. You can start with a simple check and step up to more detailed assessments as their needs change.
- Detect problems early.
- Manage age-related conditions effectively.
- Keep your pet comfortable and active.
- Support you in caring for your pet at home.

What Happens Next?
Our goal is to make these clinics relaxed, informative and tailored to your pet, giving you peace of mind and helping your pet enjoy their senior years comfortably.
If you already know which clinic you’d like (Essentials, Enhanced or Comprehensive):
- We’ll book you an appointment with one of our experienced and friendly nursing team at a time that suits you.
- You’ll receive a short pre-appointment questionnaire by email. This helps us understand your pet’s normal routine, including their behaviour, appetite, mobility, sleep patterns and overall wellbeing.
- Completing this in advance allows us to tailor the appointment specifically to your pet and make the most of your time with us.
If you’re not sure which clinic is right for you:
- Don’t worry — we’re here to help! Simply get in touch and a member of our team will talk through your pet’s needs and lifestyle.
- We’ll recommend the most suitable clinic tier for your pet and answer any questions you may have.
- If helpful, we can also send you further information to guide your decision before booking.
What Happens During Your Appointment?
Our Senior Pet Health & Wellbeing Clinics are designed to be calm, thorough and tailored to your pet’s individual needs.
- A relaxed conversation — We’ll start by talking through your questionnaire and any concerns you may have noticed at home. This helps us build a complete picture of your pet’s day-to-day life and any subtle changes that may be significant.
- A comprehensive health check — Your pet will receive a gentle, nose-to-tail examination with one of our experienced nurses. We’ll assess key areas such as mobility, body condition, coat and skin, eyes, ears, dental health and overall comfort.
- Mobility and pain assessment — As pets age, changes can be gradual and easy to miss. We’ll look for early signs of stiffness, arthritis or discomfort and discuss how we can support their mobility and quality of life.
- Weight, nutrition and lifestyle advice — We’ll review your pet’s weight, diet and exercise routine, offering practical, tailored advice to help keep them feeling their best.
- Discussion of findings and recommendations — We’ll explain everything clearly, highlighting anything we feel needs monitoring, supporting or investigating further.
- Additional checks (depending on your clinic tier) — If you have chosen an Enhanced or Comprehensive clinic, we may carry out additional tests (such as blood or urine screening) to give us a deeper insight into your pet’s internal health.
- A personalised plan for your pet — Before you leave, we’ll summarise our findings and agree on any next steps, which may include home care advice, treatments, or follow-up checks if needed.
